tachiyomi (立ち読み): (lit. standing reading) – the act of standing at a bookstore and reading through books or magazines before/without purchasing them.

me

don’t mind me too much. i’m not hiding, just unimportant. I write about life, and do so in many different forms. that’s all you need to know. placing the focus on myself would only be a distraction that alters your experience of the content.

if you do want to get in touch with me – or stay up to date and receive some extra content occasionally – you can do so via the connect page.

i sincerely thank you for your time and attention. in a sense it’s all we have, so it means a lot.

this project

this is a free literary project i set up for the simple reason that it felt like the right thing to do. all writing and editing is done by me; no AI or any other form of automation is, or will ever be used for any of it.

aside from reselling and training ai models, you’re free to do with the content as you please; I trust you to be respectful. sharing would be appreciated, but please share the website rather than a single file.

costs are attached to keeping this project going, so if you’d like to support it, please head over to the donate page.

you

Reading is not a passive activity. everything you read was made for you and about you. It’s a two way street. I lay down the words, you engage. make notes, reflect. What’s being said? How does that make you feel, and where does that feeling come from? What does that say about you and your life? That’s what matters. Pick yourself apart, and be honest about what you find.

Stories and poems become more than a series of symbols interpreted as a narrative when you read them this way. They turn into pointers; a reflection of who you are right now and the person you could potentially grow into. all without any knowledge of who you are on the author’s part. it’s magical, if you think about it.

Enjoy.

P.S. To those who know me personally: don’t read this stuff just because you know me. Ask yourself if you actually want to. It’s fine if you don’t.
